Hurri - came and..

..the electricity went. At about 7.30 this morning the electricity went off and stayed away for 12 hours. Fortunately the wind did not bring any trees down (or buildings) and by lunchtime the wind had calmed down. We mucked out really quickly and didn’t even turn the ponies out.

The horses went out and just hung around the gate. It was one of those days. The lack of electricity meant that we had to cancel Pony Club as we didn’t know if we would have lights on when everyone came. We were meant to be running team showjumping but will have to run that next week.

On the positive side the I got to ride Remy and Jasmine this afternoon. If you haven’t heard of Jasmine before she is a 16 hand beautiful Irish Sports horse we have on loan for the winter. The plan is to get her involved in the riding school. At the moment she is far too stiff on the left rein and Mollie and I need to work on her bend and suppleness. I’ll let you know how it goes with her.
