Ninja mucking out again..
08/01/2012 by shaun.
..this morning as we had promised Freya a trip into Edinburgh to visit the Build a Bear factory. We didnt start as early as we should have and finished everything by 12.30 and off Freya, Katie and Mollie went. I decided against going as I had an assessment lesson at 4.30 and we are still not brave enough to leave the yard unattended after our New Years Day break-out. We were only back about half an hour later than normal but it was long enough for the ponies to decide to bring themselves in. I have changed the gate to the run in since then but still to worried to not be on site at 3pm to start bringing in.
So I thought I would get the boys some lunch and then ride three horses as I have a plan. Unluckily, by the time we had all eaten, Hannah had arrived and was riding Corrie, then Cara and Aoife came down and were riding Buzz and Smurf and then Olivia, Jennifer and Shannon all rode Diamond, Boyzy and Sally and so there was no space in the arena for me to ride any of the three horses. By the time the arena was free it was time for the assessment lesson. Next Sunday I will have to ride in the morning. And I need to ride these horses because I have a plan. I have Remy and Willow that can compete and also now I think I need to get Henry up to competition level and also Jasmine. That means that with four horses to choose from I will have a back up horse if any go lame. The ultimate goal would be to have a four horse horse lorry and then I could compete all of them but in the meantime I can work with the trailer.
So time to get the diary out and start planning the schooling programs. I have already checked out the BE diary and reckon my first competition I should aim for is the end of March at Carlisle. Time to get riding I think.
Sorry, no photos today. Will try harder tomorrow.
